| Click Here for our Press Release Saturday May 3, 2003 Make plans now to attend this timely conference and help chart our course towards an independent and sustainable energy future for this region. The conference is being supported by a broad cross section of business, environmental, government, grass-roots and professional groups. It is our hope that the conference will inspire action to effect measurable reductions in the energy demand in Westchester. Through a series of presentations by representatives of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, architects, energy professionals, and others, the conference will focus on how energy demand to the grid—and often, energy costs--can be significantly reduced through conservation measures, increasing energy efficiency, replacing aging heating and cooling systems with more efficient systems, substituting renewable energy sources on site, and sustainable building design. The conference will offer separate tracks for residential and commercial/institutional/municipal buildings and will include presentations on NYSERDA and NYPA programs and incentives, an introduction to the LEED standard, the latest technologies available to increase energy efficiency, conservation measures, solar and geothermal options, examples of green buildings, and landscaping to reduce energy load. Who should attend: Anyone interested in learning about current, practical solutions for energy efficiency, energy conservation, and renewable energy. The residential track is designed for individual homeowners as well as professionals associated with designing, building, or renovating/improving homes. The commercial/institutional/municipal track is designed for those who own or manage larger buildings such as office buildings, schools, etc., as well as for the professionals associated with their design, building, or renovation. << Exhibitor Contract - Please Download>> 8-9 - Registration and trade show (Continental Breakfast) 9:00 - Welcome: Edna Sussman, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County 9:10 - NYSERDA: The Mission and the Programs:
