| Click Here for our Press Release << Exhibitor Contract - Please Download >> Dear Friend: We invite you to be a sponsor or exhibitor at an all-day conference entitled “Energy Independence: Real-World Solutions for Homes and Businesses” to be held at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY on Saturday, May 3, 2003. Westchester County Executive Andy Spano will welcome the audience. The event will be jointly hosted by many business, environmental, grass roots, government and professional groups all of whom have committed to promote the conference. A list of the sponsors to date is on the website. Through a series of presentations by representatives of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and the New York Power Authority, architects, energy professionals, and others, the conference will focus on how energy demand to the grid—and often, energy costs--can be significantly reduced through conservation measures, increasing energy efficiency, replacing aging heating and cooling systems with more efficient systems, substituting renewable energy sources on site and sustainable building design. With the intense interest in energy issues in light of the global situation and local issues in Westchester and the promised conference marketing efforts of the many hosts, the conference is expected to draw a large audience of approximately 400, including homeowners, building owners, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, renewable energy business people, environmental advocates and policy makers, purchasing agents, facility managers, and municipal officials. The conference will offer separate tracks for residential and commercial/institutional/municipal buildings and will include presentations on NYSERDA and NYPA programs and incentives, an introduction to the LEED standard, the latest technologies available to increase energy efficiency, conservation measures, solar and geothermal options, models of green buildings, and landscaping to reduce energy load. A trade show at the conference will offer the participants the opportunity to meet the suppliers and professionals in the field and explore the technologies and sources available. The trade show will also be open to and advertised for the general public. The Westchester County Center, the location for the show, is a standard trade show location for Westchester and draws large crowds weekly for its shows. Table fees for the trade show are set at $400 for one table and $700 for two tables. Sponsorships are being sought as set forth in the schedule that follows; please find a level of support that suits you. We believe this conference fills a significant need at this critical moment in charting a course towards an independent and sustainable energy future for this region. We hope you will be in a position to be part of this important initiative. We would be happy to discuss this conference with you further.
